one of my works will be present in this project, from 24 to 28 February 2017 - Pavilion Nuovo Fiere di Foggia.
Project born as a "visual education" tool.
Urban places taken on "borrow", between contamination and search for new languages, which rise to a widespread exhibition space in which to pour and promote the Arts at 360° to a large audience. An artistic/cultural container in which visual arts, short films, theater and music vibrate in unison according to the sole purpose it aims to achieve, a return to the public/artist dialogue, a rapprochement between the language of the spectator and that of the work of contemporary art.
SPAZIO ART É – REGGIO EMILIA
3 -31 December 2016
Inauguration Saturday 3 December at 6pm.
Collective Christmas exhibition by Spazio Art is in collaboration with Kairos Art & Projects.
Artists:
Maddalena Barletta, Alberto Bertolotti, Valentina Biasetti, Flavio Bregoli, Massimo Canuti, Nicla Ferrari, Cristina Iotti, Maurizio Magnani, Susy Manzo, Daniela Savini, Tina Sgrò, Enzo Zanni.
Spazio ART E' concludes its first semester since the resumption of exhibition and cultural activities, organizing the collective Christmas exhibition TWELVE, which involves twelve artists, mostly from Reggio Emilia but not only, some of whom have already been present in previous exhibitions. The initial setuppresents a succession of works of large and small formats and a variety of techniques ranging from painting on canvas, to drawing on various supports, to graphic techniques, photography and sculpture.
Maddalena Barletta presents her latest photographic research reworked using supports such as plexiglass; Alberto Bertolotti plays on large formats with a highly expressive painting;
Valentina Biasetti, unmistakable in sign and colour, exhibits works on paper; Flavio Bregoli from Mantua presents his aluminum alloy sculptures for the first time in Reggio Emilia, while Massimo Canuti proposes a series of graphite works on wood. Nicla Ferrari moves in the wake of a refined figuration in oils on canvas; Cristina Iotti presents pastels on paper from the “Circle of life” series; Maurizio Magnani presents a bronze resulting from his recent foray into sculpture, while Susy Manzo proposes small works from the "tell me another story" series created with the unusual technique of papercutting. Daniela Savini is also from Mantua and presents herself for the first time in Reggio Emilia with a series of masterfully executed "puntesecche". The oils on canvas by the Calabrian Tina Sgrò are rendered with fresh and intense brushstrokes in which the absolute protagonists are the play of light and shadow; Enzo Zanni, coordinator of the photographic group of the Circolo degli Artisti of Reggio Emilia, presents a photograph already exhibited in a recent edition of Fotografia Europea.
The exhibition can be visited at Spazio ART E', via Battaglione Toscano 1b, Reggio Emilia
from 3 to 31 December 2016 from 9.00am to 7.00pm, closed on Wednesdays.

The circle, a recurring element in Cristina's drawings, becomes, in this exhibition, the fulcrum and central theme from which the chosen title takes inspiration: "The circle of life". Cristina, with her meticulous drawings, continues her silent and intimate poetics by showcasing a visual metaphor of life, where the works become contemporary "vanitas" that take on symbolic values, representing the transience of life itself. From the drawings of the clothes, subjects already treated in the works of recent years, which become silent witnesses of memories and emotions experienced, to the floral backgrounds, which tell of the passing of the seasons; everything becomes a metaphor of time and also in the work "a-mors", where the theme of death is also treated in a poetic and delicate way; to then reach, through a sort of purification, an elevation, a harmony sought and found with the work "Salvificus amor". It is above all in the installation "circle_of_life", which gives the exhibition its title, where even the new floral-themed subjects take on the symbolic value of life itself, with their blossoming and then fading. The circle, symbol of perfection and harmony, recurs both within the square formats and in the round tables, where embroidery, figures that often represent itself, and flowers compose an allegory of life, an intimate and delicate mosaic of moods and life memories.
