Sunday 23 November, at 4.00 pm, at the Sala delle Colonne of Ca' la Ghironda, the exhibition of the 2025 edition of the Marchionni Prize is inaugurated, the international contemporary art competition launched by the Magmma Museum of Villacidro.

The winners of this edition present in Bologna, which, we remember, is the prize for being chosen by the Jury, are:

(for the section Painting), in addition to Vanja Kashawelska and Marco Longo, first overall ex aequo: Stefano Invernizzi, Vanni Rocca, Paride Di Stefano, Ivan Toninato, Alessanfro Botti, Carlo Martini, Sofia Fresia, Rosy Mantovani, Stefano Santi.

Judging the works was a high-quality jury: Umberto Palestini, director of the Urbino Academy of Fine Arts, one of the most important artistic institutions in Italy, Laura Martinelli, head of cultural activities at the Cà La Ghironda Museum, Adriano Corsi, director of the Lazzaro Archive in Milan, Giorgio Sorrentino of the Artesanterasmo Gallery in Milan, Vitaliano Angelini, president of Incisori Urbinati and Arialdo CERIBELLI, Ceribelli Gallery Bergamo.

This year too, the Marchionni Prize is dedicated to Dino Marchionni, a superb engraver who left his hometown of Urbino in 1954 to teach in Villacidro, where he remained until the end of his life.

The shortlist of 66 semi-finalists was selected by a professional jury, composed of Matteo
Galbiati (art critic and teacher, web director of Espoarte and internal member of Arteam), Francesca
Guerisoli (Ph.D, art historian, curator, university professor and museum director), Lisa Parola
(art historian, curator of public art projects and cultural consultant, co-founder of “a.titolo”),
Livia Savorelli (Editorial Director of Espoarte, curator and cultural operator, internal member
of Espoarte), Matteo Scavetta (member of the Board of Directors of PRS, project manager
cultural and founder of Techne Art Service).

at the final exhibition in Savona, at the Commissioner's Palace on the Priamàr Fortress, from 22 November

It was extended until August 24th the exhibition of the finalist works of the Marchionni Prize, this year hosted in Diocesan Museum Arborense of Oristano.

Given the great public success, the organizers have decided to extend the possibility of visits by moving the deadline for closing by a month, initially set on 26 July.

The exhibition, in addition to the winning works of the edition 2025 of the prize (it is Vita Of Daniela Savini for the section Graphics, e The edge of stillness Of Vanjia Kashavelska e Interior Space 3 Of Long Marco, for the section Painting), also sees the works of the other artists who arrived in the final. There are also on display My treasure Of Agostino Bergo, winning work of Rossopagation prize, assigned to works in which the use of the redness are pre -eminent, and Portrait, a watercolor dated 1953 signed by Dino Marchionni, the superb engraver to whom the Marchionni prize is dedicated, and that in the early 1950s he left his Urbino to teach Villacidro where he remained until his death.

Il Marchionni International Prize It is an initiative of Magmas (Museum of art art of the Mediterranean Marchionni), organized by Aesthetic & Progress Foundation with the support of the Foundation of Sardinia, to promote contemporary graphic art. The prize is traditionally hosted in the Archbishop's Palace of Villacidro but, due to some ongoing works, this year exceptionally has been moved to Oristano, where the Diocesan Museum Arborense He offered his precious availability.

The exhibition can be visited on Wednesday from 10 to 13, on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 13 and from 17 to 20.

Marchionni Prize 2025 Tenth edition

This year the 10th edition is celebrated; Due to the renovation works that began at the Episcopal Palace of Villacidro which also concern the spaces of the Magmm Museum, for the first time the final phase of the Marchionni Prize will take place outside the city walls.

"Thanks to the personal friendship and the mutual esteem that over time has been created with Father Roberto Carboni Archbishop of Oristano, the prize arrives at the Diocesan Arborense museum; and here that we will be guests until the works in Villacidro will last. Because the natural location is that; it is here that everything originated.
