Time is the dimension with which the passing of events is measured. There is therefore a physical time, like that marked by the hands of a clock, in which each instant is identical to all the others; but also an original time, which is subjective so that every moment is qualitatively and emotionally different from any other.
The flow of time therefore finds its realistic dimension only in the attention paid to the present, in the memory of the past and in the expectation of the future.
Time. An impression suggested by the occasional meeting of Cristina Iotti and Elisabetta Trevisan, with the epigraph inscribed in a sundial, near the train station, upon their arrival in Saluzzo, just under a year ago.

An idea that takes shape: The Lords of Time.
Nine women who tell their story in a singular syncretism, describing their personal perception of time through painting, sculpture and installation: Liliana Cecchin, Cristina Costanzo, Cristina Iotti, Arianna Lion, Paola Rattazzi, Michela Riba, Mery Rigo, Elisabetta Trevisan , Roberta Ubaldi.
Nine emerging artists who address the topic, filtering it through their own experiences, their philosophy of life and their sensitivity. A way of relating to their personal vision of reality, with the inevitability of time slipping through their fingers, stratifying facts, thoughts, dreams and emotions.
It is the abstract conception of time that takes shape, crystallizing in fragmented autobiographies, following a common thread that connects the contradictions of our society to introspection, memory, nostalgia and memories.
As often happens, it is the artists who are the first to sense and announce, well in advance, the changing times. To immortalize the gesture, the imprint, the impression and also to preserve the "feeling" of the ancient world. Art, after all, is precisely this: knowing how to interpret the meaning of existence.
